1. Navigate to the Settings Page ⚙️
First, navigate to the Settings page in your SLS Outreach Kampagnen Manager account. Click on the Email Settings tab and then click on the + Add button, and then select the Custom SMTP Server option.
2. When you click on this option and you’ll see a modal pop-up like this: 👇
Here’s what you need to fill in:
- Sender email: This is the email address you’ll be sending from.
- Sender name: This is the name that will appear to your recipients (that’s you! 😊).
3. Enter Your SMTP Settings 📧
Now, let’s add your SMTP settings:
- Username: Your email address.
- Password: Your email password.
- IP address/Outgoing Server Name: This is the server name provided by your email provider.
- Port Number: This is also provided by your email provider.
Not sure where to find this information? A quick Google search with “[Your email provider] SMTP settings” will give you everything you need. 🔍
If you’re unsure who your email provider is, head to a site like MXToolbox or DNS Checker, enter your email domain, and choose MX from the dropdown. You’ll see something like this:
The underlined text is your email provider. Use this, along with the SMTP settings, to complete the form. Easy peasy! 😎
4. Enter Your IMAP Settings ✉️
Next, let’s tackle the IMAP settings:
- Username: Your email address.
- Password: Your email password.
- IP address/Incoming Server Name: This is your email provider’s server name.
- Port Number: Provided by your email provider.
To find this info, repeat the same steps you did for the SMTP settings. Just search for “[Your email provider] IMAP settings.”
5. Choose Your Security Option 🔒
Finally, you’ll need to select between these two security options:
- TLS/SSL: Most email providers use this option.
- No Encryption: Use this only if your email provider specifies it.
That’s it! You’re all set to start sending emails with your custom email provider. 🎉
